I am trying to authorize my computer and a Pandigital Novel 7 using ADE 2.0. The computer is an iMac running Windows 7 on a separate partition. I have set up an Adobe ID and password. When I try to get authorization I get the error message: Activation Service Error E_AUTH_NOT_READY. Under OS X on the iMac side I get ADE authorization but the PD 7 is not authorized. The PD 7 is running PDC1-20120323-B-PD-INX7E-ENG-6410POP
What can I do to get ADE to authorize the computer and the PD 7?
Does the message 'Activation Service Error E_AUTH_NOT_READY' come up when the Mac is authorized and you are trying to authorize the device from ADE?
Does the PD7 show up as a device on ADE?
Most tablets with eReader capability do not, but rely on the eReader app to allow authorization.
I have heard that a few eReader tablets have apps that behave like dedicated eReaders, and do show up in ADE as a device.
There are some devices that ADE2.0 does not properly recognize.
One thing worth trying is ...
There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0 (and 2.0.1). Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.
(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.
