I have tried many, many times to download the latest version of adobe flash player. I get a message this message every time: install_flashplayer11x32azx_chra_aih.exe couldnt be downloaded. I already had downloaded it before & chose the icon which enabled me to istall the latest version.  At least that was what it said.  Thought all was ok & tried to download my sons text book for school which need the version 11.2.0 or greater.  It will not allow me to do it, tells me to downloaded the latest version.  I have tried all the suggestions listed but still nothing.  Help!!!!

Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking one of the following links ans selecting "Save target as" (IE) or "Save Link as" (Firefox).

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

Save the file(s) to yoru downloads folder - DO NOT RUN anything yet.

Reboot your system.

BEFORE opening anything else, run the installer(s) from your downloads folder.

I'd suggest trying it with a different browser. Firefox DOESN'T keep you from the files you need like IE does. Yet another reason I HATE Microsoft's browser.

I don't understand this; what you should download is

  • install_flash_player_ax.exe
  • install_flash_player.exe

If you get such a strange message, that could indicate that malware is preventing any downloads.

I give up, have tried everthing. I must have something blocking it, will

need to have my computer cleaned. So sick of having to pay someone 150 to

rid of spy ware. This is a yearly cost, I don't visit unsafe sites for

this reason. Its ridiculous! Thank u for the help

Can you download other software, or do you get the same problem?

Try using the free version of http://www.malwarebytes.org/ to scan your computer for malware.
