How do I fix -'The Importer reported a Generic Problem'

    Vivian_1986

      Hi there,

Adobe Premiere is driving me to the brink today. I am posting this to see if anyone has a suggestion with the below. The files that I am trying to import have all been fine to import in the past. They are not corrupted, I have checked.

      - This morning I renamed and moved the folders my prores elements were in. Premiere then prompeted me to recoonect the media, so I did and it didn't work

      - Unpeturbed, I created new projects with new ram caches and tried to import again.

      - The above error message came up.

      - I tried copying and renaming the files to a different spot on my computer and starting new projects but to no avail.

      - On the advice of online forums I de-installed Premiere and re-installed it.

      - Despite the re-install, the same error window is coming up.

      - I also deleted the ram cache of memory.

      - This problem is on both my macs and in after effects and premiere.

If you've got any advice to help, I will be over joyed.

      Kind regards,

      Viv
