Are there any cmyk .psds in the folders?
This morning I renamed and moved the folders my prores elements were in. Premiere then prompeted me to recoonect the media, so I did and it didn't work
Why did you do this anyway?

I work for a film distributor. I can see where you are coming from with your question- but we use premiere in a very different manner to your standard editor.
This is how we use premiere-
If a film has been wrongly exported by a licensor in the incorrect aspect ratio we fix it in in house. Or we add our opener. Or we make a watermarked version for distribution to cinemas.
As this is the way I use Premiere I only use it for one-off projects. I make a new project, adjust the file, export the file and delete the project. Unlike your standard editor, I don't hold on to projects and therefore do not need to ensure me elements stay in the same place.
To finally answer your question- I moved and renamed the folder because we are constantly re-categorising our prores library in line with our theatrical and home release. Everything is always being renamed and moved around. This has not been a problem before. It seems though, that a bug has entered the system as I now can't import anything.
Sorry, I didn't see the Psd part of your question. No, there were no psd files.
Thanks for your advice. I've already tried this unfortunately with the clean-up script. It's still not importing video content.
The morbid error message is still coming up.
