I'm using After Effects CS5. I recently started getting the following warning message whenever I launch the program:
"After Effects warning: there are multiple copies of plug-in effect "Mettle ShapeShifter" on your drive. To avoid problems, quit After Effects and move or delete the older or unneeded version(s)."
I've never installed more than one version of ShapeShifter, and it's been on my machine for quite a while, so this puzzles me. I rarely use the plug-in, so I could try uninstalling it, but I'm wondering if there's another option for eliminating this warning message and would appreciate any and all suggestions. I'm on Windows 7. Thanks in advance.
Search your disk to see if you installed the plug-in in multiple places.
I hadn't been able to find the plug-in in more than once place the first couple of times I looked, but I decided to search again - and found a second copy. Eliminated the older file and the problem is no more. Thanks!
