Can I buy CS6 or do I need the cloud thing?

Now I just learned to use it and wanted to buy it, when I read that I have to pay a monthly fee. A fee as high as my monthly food costs...almost.

Can I even buyt it and own it in any way. One price one time?

There are so many other programs out there, why should I pay so much for this? Seems weird for me.

Premiere Pro CS6 is going to be a one time fee that is a LOT higher than a Cloud subscription... I think it is about $800 if you do not have a qualifying previous version to buy an upgrade

Premiere Elements 12 is $80 direct from Adobe (download only, I think) or about $89 for a box from Amazon... but it is very different than CS6
