    Corrupt Premiere CC project

    Pethag

I hope this is already elevated to Adobe Support, but nevertheless:

One morning on opening our big project we got the following error message:

      [/sirreact64/releases/2013.03/shared/adobe/MediaCore/Backend/Make/Mac/../../Src/Video/Vide oPreviewCache.cpp-75]

And all the backups stated the same message.

I had to roll back an entire day.

The only thing i could think of was that we had lapsed on renaming and saving as new project for a few days, so we had 20 backups in the list. None of them was possible to open.

Better backup practice is 'Save as a Copy". Regularly.

What has happened in your case most likely is... the auto backups are saving a corrupt project file.

Another customer reported this same crash recently and provided a copy of the project. We determined what was wrong within that project, although we don't know how it got corrupted. In any case, the forthcoming update has a fix for the crash, at least with the problem specific to the project we have.
