Hi - I am preparing some art for print which is being done by a professional printer. I want to be able to match my monitor display so that it accurately represents what will be printed by using the printer's drivers. I've not done this before, does anyone have any advice or info? Thanks very much.
xrite offers devices for monitoir calibration. http://www.xrite.com/i1display-2
There are sure to be others, though, so a web search might help.
Calibrating your monitor will prove usefull for this specific task only if your printer actually prints according to a specific standard.
Ask them to tell you (or provide) the icc-profile for the specific process your product will be printed in.
