1. Re: Help! Device Error: Please check if there is enough space on the device.
mrwizzer2 Oct 23, 2013 1:38 PM (in response to mrwizzer2)In a nutshell...
Using an App Store distribution certificate, publishing throws the error.
Using an AdHoc distribution certificate, it publishes just fine.
What am I doing wrong? -

Colin Holgate Oct 23, 2013 1:42 PM (in response to mrwizzer2)I think you meant profiles, not certificates. If you make a build with a distribution certificate and an ad hoc provisioning profile, and it works ok, you can then make the app store build by only changing the provisioning profile, and selecting App Store when doing the build.
You won’t then be able to test it on devices, because the profile doesn’t let you. Just go ahead and submit the app.

mrwizzer2 Oct 24, 2013 8:47 AM (in response to Colin Holgate)So App Store builds aren't testable on my test device, they're only good for submitting to the App Store, is that correct, Colin?
I must have known that at some point, but I've been focusing on the Android version the last couple of months.
That's exactly what I needed to know, Colin. Once again, you've provided exactly the answer I needed. I'm building a shrine to you in my cubicle! ; )

4. Re: Help! Device Error: Please check if there is enough space on the device.
Colin Holgate Oct 24, 2013 8:54 AM (in response to mrwizzer2)Hopefully I’m right in what I said. I have at some points in the past thought that I had tested an app store build, if I did I may have got away with it by having the ad hoc provisioning file on that device. Other times I’ve tested it and failed. So, there’s hope that I’m right!

5. Re: Help! Device Error: Please check if there is enough space on the device.
mrwizzer2 Oct 24, 2013 11:33 AM (in response to Colin Holgate)You would think they'd gray the option to install on the connected iOS device when you choose the Deployment-App Store option. Would have saved me a lot of grief! ; )
Thanks again for your help, Colin!

6. Re: Help! Device Error: Please check if there is enough space on the device.
mrwizzer2 Oct 29, 2013 10:07 AM (in response to Colin Holgate)Hi Colin,
To follow up, I did a little test to check your theory. It seems you are correct... if I use the "Quick publishing for device testing" option using an AdHoc Distribution Profile, I can load the app directly onto my test device. Then, if I re-publish using the "Deployment - Apple Store" option using an App Store Distribution Profile, that version of the app will install on my device successfully as well, where before the AdHoc version was added to the device, it would not install successfully.
Interesting, (and confusing).
Thanks again for your continued support on all things Flash Apps.
