I try to view videos etc on my pc and am told I need to download flash player but cannot

When I want to look at videos etc I am told to download flash player.My pc says that I already have flash player but when I try to view something I can't and am told I need to download flash player!I click download and it only downloads about 66% and then says download unsuccessful.This happens every time and so I cannot get any further.Anyone with any ideas how to fix this?

Download the following files by right clicking and selecting "Save target as":

Flash Player Uninstaller

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

Save ALL files to your downloads folder - DO NOT run anything yet.

Reboot your system.

BEFORE opening anything else, run the UNINSTALLER from your downoads folder.

Next run the Flash Player for ActiveX installer, and lastly, if you use any other browser, run the Flash Player Plug-in installer.
