Hi, I watched a replay of the tutorial that Dani Beaumont did on seo strategies for muse sites, and in the evernote notes Dani directs you to a page where they discuss the effects of one page design on seo. At the end of the article he gives a few solutions to a one page design layout to help with adding eg more than one H1 tag, optimising each page with meta data etc:
Since all the issues are caused by your design being a one-page design, you can just divide your homepage into multiple pages. You just need to keep links to those secondary pages on your homepage. Doing so allows you to use the Parallax effect and at the same time still use multiple pages. Thus, you’ll have multiple URLs and be able to use specific keywords in multiple headings and metadata throughout your site.
Does anyone know if this means
1.build a one page full design with anchor points etc.
2. build each section on the one page design as a separate page.
3. have a vist this page link on each section of your one page design pointing to the separate pages.
I can see this working if you have a one page design where you just want to give people a taster and then direct them to a fuller page. But if your one page design was totally complete, couuld you still include a link from the home page but have it somewhere discreetly so that it didnt stop the flow of your page and was not annoying to visitors.
Does anyone have any views on this?
Many thanks
Michele
