I have imported a ProRes 422(HQ) video file to Premiere Pro and I would like to know how to save the video in a lossless format. I want to then insert a few "black slugs" and then save again in the same lossless format. If someone can instruct me on how to do this that would be really great. Thank you.
Welcome to the forum! You can save a ProRes file as Uncompressed, sure, but why would you want to do this? You are not gaining any quality by doing so. I would just make a sequence with the native files.
I am uploading the files to Hulu and I need to make sure that the quality remains as high as possible throughout the editing process so that I meet their specs. I understand that saving in a lossless format is a good way to make sure that the file doesn't compromise quality or get damaged in the process.
Lossless is a good option for Intermediates, but based on your expressed needs so far, you don't need any Intermediates. Just use the ProRes files for editing and then export to the format required by Hulu.
