I am working with MKIII footage and no problems here.
Win7, PC, CC
I've found that I can import them one clip at a time. The problem is when I'm importing a folder with a lot of clips. I also had to change to quicktime file as windows media would not import at all.

Dont understand what you have done here!
I imported entire Folders of images from my local drive. (about 8-10GB per card)
I had transferred these from the camera cards to local drive inside their original structure
maybe it's my pc not quick enough.
yes, I did exactly what you've done but experienced the 'not responding' routine!
Anyone help please? I have recently replaced my canon mk2 with a mark3 but prem pro does not like the new file format (0j1Axxxx) when trying to import prem pro does not respond.
Which "new file format" are you speaking of? Doesn't this camera shoot H.264 .mov files just like the Mark II?
Yes it does Kevin.
Yes as Shooterz said it is H.264 what I meant by the file type was the name preceding the number of each clip begins with 0j1A (if it has any significance). I am having to import one clip at a time!
The file name as per your example should have no bearing on the issue. (Didnt for me)
Are you importing the files to Premierr\e thru the Premiere File Browser?
Have you tried bringing them in as a group via Explorer or inder?
