I am not sure what you are asking. Are you asking if this camera comes with a CMOS sensor or are you asking where to find mention of a CMOS sensor within the camera that you have in hand?
From all that I have read from online, JVC and reviewers, the sensor description line is
1/5.8-inch 1.37 Megapixel CMOS
Google search is loaded with that information to confirm it.
Please let us know if any of the above information is what you seek.
Thanks ATR. It was my understanding that not all cameras use a cmos sensor. (not even sure what that means or what it does) My only concern was whether or not to check off this setting for '"rolling shutter compensation" in the mercalli stabilzation. (and according to mercalli, rolling shutter setting is only supposed to be enabled for footage shot with a cmos) So i was just tryig to confirm if it had that on my Everio.
Under "printer friendly specs" it did say CMOS sensor. So that is definitely a confirmation.
Every camera specifications and online reviews of the camera mention the sensor type.
As I said, your camera sensor type is described, without exception as CMOS.
The following is one of the online articles on camera sensors that may be of interest.
Glad that you found a video stabilizer that works for you in your projects.
