Windows media player and VLC player can play the file with audio
Import the file to CS 5.0.3 Preview monitor and time line can play the file with audio and encoder also recognize the audio
The footage is MPEG2 file with .mpg. Ext
We have 2 CS 6.0.5 systems windows 7 OS both not recognize the audio and encoder either
Blackmagic Deck link Studio card for I/O (ver. 9.7.2) is in one of the CS6 editor but other CS6 editor has no I/O device
I also installed Tricaster Codecs on all systems.
File is 720x480
video data rate 8000kbps
Audio bit rate 192kbps
Channels 2 stereo
Audio sample rate 48khz
Can you see the waveform for the clips?
No waveform just the line.
Try clearing the cache and reimporting.
I did Clean the cache also. It import the file without error and play the video just fine but no audio. I tried same file with two different CS6 editors both do the same, video is fine but no audio. Import the same file into my 3rd editor CS5 which is not in use that much and I have no audio problem in CS5. So I work around use the encoder of CS5, make another MPEG2 file and import that file into CS6 editor where I need to use originally with my other project elements.
