    codec error

I am trying to access some videos I produced several months ago.  When I open elements 10, it tells me the required codec is not installed.  I made the videos on this computer and the pictures are on this computer.  I don't understand why they won't open.  Has anyone had this problem

What are the properties of these videos that you are trying to import....video and audio compression, frame size, frame rate, pixel aspect ratio, file extension, etc.?

What are you setting as the project preset and how are you importing these video into Premiere Elements 10....Get Media/what? Where did you make these movies on your computer....Premiere Elements 10 or another program?

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 10 running on and what is the name of your video card?

Please download and install the free utility named gspot and determine if it will show a status for Video and Audio Codec...Name Codec and importantly "Status".

We will be watching for your details and results.
