Yesterday (10-30-13) I worked in Photoshop without a problem. This morning (10-31-13) I attempted to open Photoshop to continue work on a project. Photoshop wouldn't open and I received a System Error message saying: "The program can't start because MSVCP110.DLL is missing from your computer. Try installing the program to fix this problem"
After several attempts involving unistalling and reinstalling I was still without an operable program.
I went online with Adobe support chat for close to 2 hours and went through various unsuccesful gyrations and finally was told by the tech he was transfering me to a product specialist.
Bottom line I was bounced out of the chat and was never transferred. I'm still without a working program. Anyone have any suggestions?
I just found the answer to the problem. It centers on the Nik collection add-on for Photoshop. Apparently Google updated it last night and a lot of people have experienced the same I have. I deleted the Nik collection and immediately was able to open PS CS6. I plan to reinstall the Nik Collection once Google has a fix.
