Have you saved your .as file on the desktop of any common location with a large set of files? Can you try saving your .as file to a new folder or project specific folder and then see if code hinting comes up fine.
This worked indeed. What surprised me is to learn that Flash CC by default saves the class files you create not in the same folder as the .fla but in a separate folder. In my case that was the folder where AIR was installed which therefore was filled with files. Older versions of flash saved the .as file next to the .fla if I'm not mistaken. Might be something to check for people who still keep on having this error!
Thanks for the solution

Hello Friends. I create simple button and when try to write simple addEventListener code hint don't work properly. I.e. when I write "Button1." code hint window don't popup. And when save project, only fla file have saved. No as files have saved. Where is the location of the 'as' file??? This is the code of as3 file
as files generally save at the most recently used folder where a main project file (fla) was saved.
anyway, they never were saved automatically. you have to save them.
like all files, if you've already saved and don't know where, use 'save as' and note the directory where the file is about to be saved.
save an as3 file using 'save as'.
I must choose File -> Save as. Right??? If yes, then there is no as3 extension. See image above.
Friends, please shed some light. I don't understand. Can I use code hint feature on symbols , that I simply drag on stage from the library and instantiate via property panel (not from 'new 'operator).
I have Adobe Flash CC professional and OS - Windows 8.
Yes, if you declare it as a public(assuming this is in a class) variable specifying its type.
