Update your graphics driver or turn off OpenGL in the prefs.
I am an IT engineer. Nothing wrong with computer or graphics card. Installed new hard drive and installed CS5.5. Others have similar problems. The image is in the thumb nail view in LAYERS.
PS' requirements for graphics acceleration are quite specific and it is being nosy about it and no matter whether you have the latest coreXi with a Titan card that won't change - if it thinks something is wrong, it won't use these functions and give the exact behavior you describe, so by all means simply do as I said. Nothing's lost by trying.
Please explain how changing a hard disk would afect the performance of a coreXi with a Titan card. As an enginer I would LOVE to know that.
