Feels like a graphics card driver to me. Just a guess.
Is your driver up to date?
Perhaps Adobe assumed everyone was upgraded to a certain level and left some people behind by accident?
Thanks for your reply.
i downloaded and reinstalled the newsest drivers and nothing changed.
by the way using
intel i7-3930K @ 3.20Ghz
GeForce GTX 570

Did you try going backward one or two nVidia drivers?
Some recent messages have indicated problems with the "latest" nVidia driver
Also... instead of saying "latest driver" when you post, it helps to post an actual version number
Right click in any open area of the Windows desktop
Select NVIDIA Control Panel from the popup window
Select SYSTEM INFORMATION at the lower left corner
Driver version should be the 1st line in Details
I have a GTX285 using driver 296.10 and Win7
I just reread your original post.
I need to ask...
The "specific clip" isn't the locked one with the stripes over it, is it? Because it is locked, no changes can be made.
>The "specific clip" isn't the locked one with the stripes over it, is it? Because it is locked, no changes can be made.
the version is :331.65
I rolled back from 331.65 to 310.70. which was as far back as i was able to find.
still no luck
Simply unlock it.
Perhaps I am missing something, but you show that the lock is in the locked position. Click on the lock to unlock it. Or is that what you are having trouble with?
thats not the issue.
even when unlocked i cant expand.
there are many more bugs and they have to do with the workspace. maybe it has to do with using two screens.
Try clearing your preferences by holding Shift+Option while launching.
Correction: since you're on Windows, the proper keys are Shift+Alt
I'm seeing redraw issues with my CC and a Quadro 4000, i'm on the latest drivers. I think i'm seeing graphics card issues as well. I can see on another PC that all is well.
I will try the refresh preferences to see if that helps.
What else can i do to track this down?
apperantly problem not solved. i tried a few time to clear the preferences and the problem is still there. the only way i can overide it is right clock and undock panel. only then i can actually work on the timeline.
otherwise the timeline is unresponsive
how do i go back to 7.01???
same problems : (
I just love the way Adobe repeatedly releases bugged software for users who have better things to do to become BETA testers wether they want to our not.
Oh so glad I kept with CS
I'm pretty sure i started seeing this issue BEFORE i updated to 7.1, this implies that perhaps something changed with windows? Or it's always been there.
Some have said that after reinstalling it's okay for a while then comes back. So it's not clear cut when it fails. I have one machine where it's been fine and one where it recently started doing it.
Very odd. But we need a 7.1.1 soon please!
