Manuel LP Nov 2, 2013 1:52 PM (in response to daveAndrade)A screen capture would help.

3. Re: Why does my footage not display in the monitor when imported into Speedgrade?
Manuel LP Nov 2, 2013 3:17 PM (in response to daveAndrade)Well, it appears that is a laptop, if this is right then possibly the problem is the integrated graphic. SpeedGrade needs a discrete GPU with a minimun of 1 GB Vram, at least until CS6 version.

4. Re: Why does my footage not display in the monitor when imported into Speedgrade?
daveAndrade Nov 2, 2013 3:38 PM (in response to Manuel LP)Yes, it is a laptop. About 3 years old.
You said it needed all that until the CS6 version.
Meaning...up to that version? This is CC (which I guess is evident because of the integration)
so because of this current machine, I cannot use that function then? (without having a dedicated GPU with a min of 1GB of VRAM)
I believe it has more than 1GB of VRAM, but it's the integrated graphics that is throwing a monkey wrench in everything, eh?

7. Re: Why does my footage not display in the monitor when imported into Speedgrade?
Manuel LP Nov 2, 2013 3:53 PM (in response to daveAndrade)Humm, maybe the vram is shared between SG and Premiere, Try to close Premiere using Direct Link.

8. Re: Why does my footage not display in the monitor when imported into Speedgrade?
daveAndrade Nov 2, 2013 4:10 PM (in response to Manuel LP)Using Direct Link?
Regardless, I opened Speedgrade without having Premiere open this last time and had the same result. However, you made me think I should check into the memory settings under preferences in Premiere. Will do that now.
***Edit: Hmmm, I'm at a loss. I went into memory and Speedgrade isnt even mentioned. Not sure if it is ever mentioned anyway, but now I have no other ideas.

9. Re: Why does my footage not display in the monitor when imported into Speedgrade?
daveAndrade Nov 2, 2013 8:45 PM (in response to daveAndrade)I determined what the issue was.
It was some blackmagic footage I downloaded from a forum. multiple clips.
However, I tried it with some DSLR footage that I took myself and it works like a dream. Hmmm....very interesting. It otherwise supports these clips. I can open them directly. But they "disappear" when I use direct link
