It closes/crashes as soon as I open it, so I cannot access any menu options. Is there another way to check the version I am currently running - Creative Cloud says I am up to date.

I have seen some cases where Flash is not able to validate the license and therefore closes. Can you please do the following steps:
1) Lauch the creative cloud application, go to preferences->general tab and then to account sub tab.
2) Sign-out of creative cloud
3) Now launch flash so that you get the sign-in screen
4) Enter your credentials
Let me know if this solves the problem.
Sujai - thanks for the troubleshooting but that did not resolve the issue. I signed out of the Creative Cloud and Flash CC continues to crash everytime is it opened.
Is there any other troubleshooting that can take place?
Install Maverics and the Flash CC and things are running correctly. Of Note: There was a mysterious Java Runtime update that occured at the same time.
