My production company shoots mainly DSLR in the field and records audio via a separate sound person / mixer.
When transcribing via Story I prefer to use the clean audio that is recorded as opposed to the camera audio. Also, I find the voice recognition is better in Premiere when working with the professionally recorded audio.
How do I:
1. Associate new audio with a clip (replace the camera audio and sync)
2. Then run the voice analysis on this clip with the associated Adobe Story Script?
For example, do I have to bring the clip in, sync the correct audio, delete the camera audio, then re-export the clip? It's a work around but would add significant hours to my production workflow.
Thanks so much!
1. Merge clips
2. I've never tried it on a Merged Clip, but I assume the process is the same as for any other clip.
Ah... I'm new to Premiere (FCP convert) - have never tried the Merge Clips function. I'll give it a go now.
