I have just acquired the first element but not run it stops on the display incompatible driver message .... despite the removal of the file baddriver despite the update all my drivers and windows update ...
Windows Update is not a reliable way to check for driver updates, you need to go direct to the vendor
ATI Driver Autodetect http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool
nVidia Driver Downloads http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
What specific video card do you have on this computer?
We will be watching for follow up information. Are you within 30 days of purchase of the product?

>hp pavillon intel core i5 W7 64 bits with
>graphical card :intel hd 4000 radeon hd7670M
I don't have that computer, but is that a laptop?
If yes, read the links below about problems with dual video laptops... and a solution

-HP Fingerprint/Password conflict http://forums.adobe.com/thread/911575
Why do you have two video cards for your HP Pavillon computer....the Intel HD 4000 as well as the Radeon HD7670M?
How old is your computer? Can you contact HP about the video card situation for that computer?
Please double check your video card information. For starters, if you go to Device Manager/Display Adapters, what is shown there for display adapter or display adapters?
Is the situation that the computer came with Intel HD 400 and you added the Radeon HD7670M to the system?
While this might not apply to the OP's laptop, several mfgrs. do use two GPU chips - an Intel embedded chip, for operations where battery conservation is a positive, then an AMD/ATI, or nVidia chip, for more graphically intense operations. The idea is that the laptop can switch between the two, when necessary.
However, this arrangement has caused myriad issues with many Adobe programs, and often the "fix" has been to go into the BIOS SetUp, and disable the Intel chip, leaving only the AMD/ATI, or nVidia chip active. In a very few instances, users have had to go to the MoBo and use either DIP switches, or jumpers to disable the Intel chip - seems to differ MoBo to MoBo.
A few have found that they can disable the embedded GPU chip in the OS, but this does not seem to be adequate for other users.
Just some general observations,
>often the "fix" has been to go into the BIOS
Yes, the 3rd link I posted in #5 talks about that, plus several other links that go into more details about WHY dual video is the problem you mention (looks like ATR was writing while I was doing a copy-paste from my saved links file)
Hopefully, chris670 will find a solution in one of the links I posted
If possible, depending on Chris670 experience in this video card area and, if the HP computer is under warranty and the video card(s) were part of the HP package, then contact with HP would be advisable.
i thank you and i'm going to modify my bios
but my pointer is unstable with some "by fits and starts"
i'm telling you back,
i don't find something to disable my display card in the BIOS
then i desactivated the intel hd 4000 via the device manager
but after i can't modify the luminosity of my screen and possibly something else...
i''m disapointed because the great manufacturer adobe didn't take care of the laptop with 2 displays cards,( for economy of energy)
now i always need to turn off my intel hd 4000 when i'll use the soft premiere element 12, and turn on when i've finished
sorry for my grammar and vocabulary
English version of my reply
You have done very well in English, but I will write in French this time with the help of Google Translate. From what you just wrote, disabling the Intel driver allowed you to move on in your Premiere Elements project. We are not Adobe here, just Premiere Elements users helping other Premiere Elements users.
Could you confirm...at the present time, those display card error message are gone?
I am not sure if adjustments can be made to your 2 video card situation. You might want to explore that with the manufacturer of your computer.
Also, from your screenshot, it looks like you are using Premiere Elements 12. Since this is a recently released version, you may want to contact Adobe direct to explore free opportunities for them to help you run the program.
Please review the above and let us know the outcome.
Désolé mais j'écris en Français.
J'utilise Premiere element 13.
