I am producing a document that needs to be double-spaced (according to the official guidelines for the document). I typed the document in Word and have typeset it in InDesign. However, it seems as though the spacing between the lines (at 12 pt font) in Word (having selected double-spacing) is wider than the spacing for the imported style in InDesign (leading is set to 24). I have found numerous sites saying that the leading for a 10 pt font single spaced is 120% (12 pt), but I'm not sure how that applies to a double spaced 12 pt font.
I would appreciate any help with this issue!
Word's leading is probably set to 120%, so double sapce would be 28.8 pts for 12 pt type.
