    create DIV first?

      In inserting images into a fluid grid layout, do I first have to create a DIV and then insert the image into the DIV? Thanks, Kevin

          Depends on where the image will be used. Eg. <header>, <footer>, <aside>, <article>, etc...  If you're asking if you need another div within the main structure to hold the image,  no.  But you could insert it inside a <figure> tag if that's how it will be used.

            Hi, Nancy, thanks

            I'm inserting the image in a .container DIV. Even when I style with percentages, the image shows up at full size (too large) and does not respond to changes in screen size. Please help - I am under the gun to teach myself Dreamweaver and I am finding it quite frustrating.

              By default, FG Layouts re-scale images to viewport width up to the native image size.

              img {max-width:100%}

              However, this won't work if your HTML code contains explicit img height & width values.  You would need to remove them.
