Yesterday, I opened Extension Manager to add a Flash plug-in. In the InDesign section there were several yellow warning triangles with messages that said something to the effect that there was a dependency. I read this as a problem, and (like a dumb ***) "removed" several extensions that were not locked. Today, I discovered that I may have removed useful (if not crucial) extensions from InDesign. Is there a way to reinstall those extensions short of reinstalling the program?
I am using InDesign and Extension Manager CS6 on the Mac platform.
If you know the extension name which was removed, you can reinstall it as the following steps:
(1)navigate to /Library/Application Support/Adobe/InDesign/Version 8.0/en_US/Extensions/REMOVED
(2)move the extension which was removed to /Library/Application Support/Adobe/InDesign/Version 8.0/en_US/Extensions/
(3)launch Extension Manager CS6
you will find the extension which was removed is reinstalled by Extension Manager CS6.
Thank you so much Liu. This saved me a lot of time and trouble.
