Welcome to the forum.
What is the format of the iTunes files?
Do they have Copy Protection, i.e. DRM (Digital Rights Management)?
Good luck, and please let us know a bit more.
You need to convert the iTunes file to an mp3 file.
You can do this within iTunes.
PE does not accept the native iTunes audio file.
Thanks for your reply Hunt!
The files are straight from iTunes as mp4. I don't know if they have copy protection or not but I've been able to use these files in making other videos before.
Thanks for your time!
I will give this a go. Thanks
Here's how to do it:

I'm all sorted now for the music.
I'm also trying to import videos from my iPhone and keep getting an error message.
Do I need to convert these files? If so, does anyone know the procedure?
Thanks again for any assistance.
How are you importing video from your iPhone to Premiere Elements 11?
You should have no problems attaching your iPhone to the computer via USB with Premiere Elements 11 open and using Add Media/Video from Flip or Cameras/Video Importer.
Have you been there and done that? What are the properties of your iPhone video...can we assume H.264.mov maybe 1920 x 1080p?
An additional question, regarding your iPhone footage - is it being shot at a variable Frame Rate? If so, that can present a few additional problems, when Importing.
Good luck, and glad that you got the iTunes situation handled.
