dj_paige Nov 14, 2013 9:01 AM (in response to Heirloom Bob)When you create the keyword, you also have to check the box next to "Apply Keywords to Selected Photos"

Jim Wilde Nov 14, 2013 9:07 AM (in response to Heirloom Bob)In addition to what Paige has said, you also need to be in Grid view if you want to apply keywords to multiple selected images. It won't work if you select the images in the Filmstrip whilst having only one of them showing in the Loupe/

5. Re: Keyword Tags in LR 5
Jim Wilde Nov 14, 2013 10:40 AM (in response to Heirloom Bob)Actually, I see I was wrong. Normally when wanting to apply metadata in the Library module to a bunch of selected images, that has to be done in the Grid view.....if in Loupe view only the image in the Loupe gets the metadata, all the rest selected in the Filmstrip do not get the metadata.
However, just re-checking I find that if you have a bunch of images selected in the Filmstrip, and you are in Loupe view when you use the "Create Keyword Tag" dialog, type the new keyword name, check the "Add to selected photos" box, then when you hit Enter the keyword is created and added to all the selected images in the Filmstrip.

Heirloom Bob Nov 15, 2013 6:37 AM (in response to Jim Wilde)Thanks everyone. I knew I was able to Keyword without a sync. Never crossed my mind that I couldn't do it from the filmstrip but had to be in Grid view instead.

Paulus.D Dec 25, 2013 11:33 PM (in response to Jim Wilde)Sorry guys I'm having the same issue and I can't get past the hurdle where you are all saying
check the "Add to selected photos" box", well for the life of me I can not see it and need someone to point out the obvious to me!
Sorry if I am "panel blind"!
