Your pictures are just files in a folder somewhere on your harddrive. A simple search for a known file name in Windows Explorer will reveal their location.
Your so right in that they are in the PC and I have found them but, there is always a but, the Adobe Registration page comes up when you open the file and prevents you using the file... any suggestions please
There is the option of inserting an unlock code from Adobe but according to the page they are no longer available

But the problem is most likely your files are associated with Starter Edition and you have change that.
Right-click on one of those files. If Starter Edition is the default, change it to Photoshop or any other Image Editor you have. Then checkmark "Do the same for all files of this type".
Have tried your advise without success - the file is on my PC in My Documents but when I right click on it the thumbnails appear followed by an Adobe Registeration page requesting an unlock code (no longer available) - when this request for Registration appears the photos are locked!
The forum advise elsewhere suggests opening a Revel account but when you try that advise a message comes up saying Revel closed for applications in February 2016!
Where are the photos that I imported into Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition?
Your photos are safe, and are present in the folder on your computer that you specified when importing them. If you used Photoshop Album Starter Edition to import your files from the camera without changing the default folder, look in this folder:
- Windows® XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\My Documents\My Pictures\Adobe\Digital Camera Photos
- Windows Vista®/7: C:\Users\[User Name]\Pictures\Adobe\Digital Camera Photos
Note: The thumbnail of your photos you see in Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition are copies of your original photos.
If you cannot find your photos in this folder, it is most probably because you:
- Specified another folder during import/Moved your files after import: If you do not remember the location, search for your files using their filenames or filename extensions (for example, JPG, PNG, and so on).
- Deleted your photos after import: If you did not permanently delete your files, look for your photos in the Recycle Bin.
Success!! Photos found and now able to use them, my wife is now a happy bunny
Easy when you know how - Thank you very much indeed
I'm glad that ended well.
Would willingly select correct but unable to find where to do it?
You should access the forums by web browser and there you will see a "Correct" button in every response. Pick the one that clearly answered your question and solved your problem.
I need my photos. I need either a registration number or a phone number to talk to a real person.
See post #5, it explains what you need to do.
