So if a user enters "1234" into a certain form field, you want to insert the pages of "1234.pdf" into the document? What if they then change that value to "12345"? Is "1234.pdf" located in a pre-known location on the computer?
Hi Gilad - Yes that would be the case - we would have one specific folder on the hard drive that would have these files in it. We would name each pdf the exact same as the part number. So part number SCIF21 would have SCIF21.pdf in the pre-known location/folder.
In that case it's possible, but would require a script to be installed on the local machine of the users of this file.
Also, you didn't answer my question about what should happen if the value of the field is changed (or cleared) after the file was imported...
Aww Sorry about that Gilad!
Well, is it possible to have the pdf then excluded or taken out? or maybe even just a warning or pop up that says - "you have changed your project number! If you intended to do this you will need to manually delete the related form!" - From your expertise what would be best. Also, who would I go to to have this script installed on the local machine??
You have been wonderful to help! Thank you so much!
Both are possible, but removing the pages is more complex.
