I have got the new update to flash player, BUT i can not install it due to it saying that i need to turn off my Dashboard Client, i can not do this as it has no turn off button or slide switch, so how do i go about installing the new update to Flash Player, with Dashborad still on, i'm on iMac OS X 10.9.

Applications/Utilities...  Open the Activity Monitor.

Click each Dashboard entry in the list of processes and click the octagonal button at the top to terminate it. Once you've killed ALL Dashboard processes, THEN run the installer.
