    File Download Open/Save Dialog

I'm trying to enhance an existing Flex 2 application. The application communicates with a web application via HTTPService. The Flex application can upload files from the user's local hard drive to the web application where they are ultimately stored in a database. The Flex application also allows the user to download any of these previously uploaded/stored files. The class flash.net.FileReference is used to perform the download.

Everything works fine. The only issue is that when the user initiates a file download, he/she is only prompted as to where to save the file. We would like to first give the user the option to open or save the file... essentially the dialog that Internet Explorer gives you when you download a file (.exe, .doc, .xls, etc.) directly from a web site. Is there a way to do this?

      Thanks in advance!
