8.2 series is applicable for CS6 and CC.
Be sure to choose Lightroom to render (open) the file...do not use Open Anyway or you will osse certain image settings (that ACR 6.7 won't render).
You would have to have Photoshop CS6 or Photoshop CC in order to use Camera Raw 8.2. With your present Photoshop CS5, just choose the option to render a copy with Lightroom adjustments.
The message you are receiving is something that is given whenever Lightroom and Camera Raw are not at the same level, which is your situation. Camera Raw 6.7 was the last version that was compatible with Photoshop CS5.
i was afraid of that. Thank you.
What would happen if I open it in PS5 before I do any development in LR5? Would that work? Then save back into LR to develop? I'll give that a shot.
I'm not given the option to open with LR adjustments, unfortunately. Just to open anyway or not.
I am one of the unlucky ones who need CC but can't afford it. My CS5 suite is an educational edition, so I'm stuck with this arrangement for the foreseeable future.
