I wrote a script today, and realized afterwards that I have some issues facing me
I would like to propose my question to the experts for advice and help
I am using Scott Selberg's Calendar Wizard script to create a calendar in InDesign
He gives the option for creating a layer to add pictures into the dates
Layer 1 is the main clandar table, behind that is a layer with many anchored rectangles, positioned exactly behind the cells.
(See screen shot below)
I made a script to read a file with the birthdates and picture names to automatically insert the pictures into the rectangles behind the correct cell.
It finds the correct cell in the main table (by search of date), and then it places the picture in the same numbered rectangle as was the cell's number.
My problem is that there are many days that are doubled up with birthdays...!!!
Now what do I do?
What can I do?
Can you place 2 images inside 1 rectangle?
If anyone can help me with this I would greatly appreciate it!
The top layer is not so visible, but thats the layer with the table and has the dates inside
The second layer is the red boxes with the X inside them.
They are rectangles placed exactly behind each table cell.
The only way to put more than one image in a frame is to place them separately, then group them, and finally Paste Into the target frame.
