Remove the font auto-activation plugin and you might get ID to start (You can Force Quit).
Mostly it sounds like you need to reinstall or upgrade the font manager, or both.
Have you contacted Extensis customer support?
Thx! I don't really know how to remove the plug-in, but I did force to quit ID. This happens quite often lately, so it starts to get on my nerves. As for Extensis, it might have come with the Adobe CC, because I didn't install it personally. Further on, I couldn't do anything with it, as it needs a serial number.
...You got it, I'm quite new to CC (or CS for that matter).
I'll probably contact the vendor.
Forgot to add: Thank you for trying to help!
Extensis makes font management software (for most users it will be called Suitcase), and it most definitely was not installed as part of Adobe CC. SOMEBODY installed it on your system, even if it wasn't you.
If you can get ID open long enough without freezing or crashing, go to Help > Manage Extensions... and see if you can locate it, then if you'e lucky there will be a Remove button when you select it. If you can't do that, then tell us your OS and we can probably guide you tothe folder where it is installed for manual removal.
Sounds like someone installed a trial and it's expired. We don't even know
what version was installed.
First step, I think, would be to uninstall it. That should take any plugins
