I have a problem importing some .3ds files into my Photoshop CC on PC. The problem is that the layers seem to re-arrange themselves in 3D space. When opening the same file in Cinema 4D there is no problem. The looks flawless? Is there an import option that I have overlooked?
Another poster was having issues with 3DS files, but in a different way. It turned out that his file was not constructed very well and PS had a hard time interpolating it. Perhaps this is the case with your file also. It might be best to avoid using #DS file whenever possible.
What would a good alternative to 3DS files be? C4D won't work. Thanks
I don't do a whole lot of 3D work, but I tend to use obj files, but then I import them from Poser. I have used 3DS files, but again, I created them in my own CAD program. When you get a file off the internet, you never know how good the modeling might be.
