Importing 8mm movies scanned to a DVD for Premier Elements 11.

I had some old 8mm movies commercially scanned to a DVD. When I received the DVD I was not able to view it on my laptop, called Adobe and the tech did some magic, probably downloading some kind of app that now allows me to view the movies on the DVD, and he put a "Video_TS" folder on my Desktop with the following files:

      VIDEO_TS.BUP

      VIDEO_TS.IFO

      VIDEO_TS.VOB

      VTS_01-0.BUP

      VTS_01.0.IFO

      VTS_01.0.VOB

      VTS_01_1.VOB

      VTS_02.0.BUP

      VTS_02.0.IFO

      VTS_02.0.VOB

      VTS_02.1.VOB

      VTS_02.2.VOB

      VTS_02.3.VOB

      VTS_02.4.VOB

      VTS_02.5.VOB

i believe the last 4-5 files are the actual movie files. The Adobe tech said I can now copy the files to my external HD (that's where I keep my photo files) and I will be able to import them to Premier Elements 11 and edit them.  I will have more DVDs arriving and want to know what "magic" I need to perform to enable me move the files to my external before importing to my PE 11.
