There option on the Type>Document Footnote Options>Formation>Position>Apply Superscript
I probably did not explained the problem well.
in one text, there are already footnote reference numbers in superscript.
I would like to add parenthesis not in superscript but in normal around footnote reference numbers in one only step with find-change, grep (in two step I know how do that)
If you want to leave the footnote reference as superscript I think you need to do it in two steps -- add the parnetheses Find ~F and change to ($0)
and then find superscript parentheses and cahnge to normal Find [()] and set the find format to superscript (I'm not sure you actually will have any open parentheses that are superscript, but it won't hurt to look), then leave the change filed blank and set the cahnge format to Normal position.
edit: changed the number of steps to two...
Sorry, that's only two steps -- forgot to revise the number when I swtiched from using lookahead and look behind to using a class.
thank you very much
