1. Re: Future enhancement-Send Campaign immediately
Alex Pavelescu Dec 2, 2013 3:43 AM (in response to snarzom12)Hi,
Currently, Business Catalyst actually provides a little more flexibility beyond the "send now" option. Not only can you send it "now", but you can actually specify any time "today" for the campaign to be sent, down to the specific quater of the hour when it is to be sent. If the campaign is urgent, you can set it to the current date at 01:00 AM and it will be processed with highest priority.
Kind Regards,
Alex

Liam Dilley Dec 2, 2013 3:58 AM (in response to snarzom12)There are many reasons BC will not sent it out ASAP. A lot of the time it will and it will start rolling out on the time.
You need to understand when you send a campaign of say 2k for example it wont just send out 2k campaigns. Why? Because BC does not want to be blacklisted, it does not want to intefear with web traffic and clog email systems.
It sends out and monitors and responds based on many statistics to ensure derliverability rather then just pure speed. This for most customers is the most important aspect and has been one of the biggest requests from partners in this regard, and BC had done a lot in that regard.
As Alex mentioned setting it at off peak hours for example will ensure a more imediate derlivery for example.

3. Re: Future enhancement-Send Campaign immediately
snarzom12 Dec 4, 2013 11:25 PM (in response to Liam Dilley)HI Alex and Liam, the reason i ask is that customers may have used mailchimp, Campaign Monitor etc, and if you press send it sends within a few minutes in sends in bursts to prevent blacklisting.
Example I created a campaign a 2pm and set the delivery for 5pm same day, its now 8:23pm and its still in waiting. Im just annoyed that the times arent accutate and so are clients, I can explain a wait time of 5 or 15minutes but 3 hours.
Dont get me wrong I love using BC but small things like this annoying.

Liam Dilley Dec 4, 2013 11:51 PM (in response to snarzom12)In some cases but not always, even for them. I can link a few articles from campaign monitor who talk about this for example. They do great articles on open rates and derliverability.
