    Downloading books to e-readers

I downloaded a book fromk my local library onto my PC. I then sent it to my new Kobo Touch e-reader, The book appears but with the message: This document is protected by DRM and is not currently authorised for use with your Adobe ID. Please sign in with the authorised Adobe ID. I checked my PC and it says that Adobe is authorised. What do I need to do to be able to read the book, please? Tony.

          Hi probus16,

Hi please make sure your Kobo is also authorized with the ADOBE software to receive the protected content, see the outlined steps below:

To authorize your eReader with Adobe:

          1. Install Adobe Digital Editions.
          2. When prompted, select Authorize Computer.
            • If you don't already have an Adobe ID, click the get an Adobe ID online link.
            • Adobe will launch your web browser and take you to the Adobe Sign In page to create an Adobe account.
            • When you're done, return to Adobe Digital Editions.
          3. Enter your Adobe ID and password.
          4. Click Activate.
          5. Click Finished when Adobe finishes authorizing your computer.
          6. Connect your eReader to your computer and tap Connect.
          7. Click Authorize Device.
          8. Click Finished to complete the process.
