1. Re: Distnoted uses 100% CPU
Test Screen Name Dec 2, 2013 1:57 AM (in response to jondaman21)distnoted is part of Mac OS X. Unfortunately, apart from an unhelpful note that it is to do with message processing, nobody seems to know what it is for. Googling shows many people with this sort of symptom, but with all sorts of apps, not just Acrobat.
Only one post I found had a concrete suggestion, here it is: http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/111197/runaway-distnoted-process

2. Re: Distnoted uses 100% CPU
jondaman21 Dec 3, 2013 2:49 AM (in response to Test Screen Name)I do understand this might be a Mac OS X thing, though for me at least, it only happens for Acrobat. I previously did a little searching for distnoted but I missed that article, which does potentially have some interesting tips. I haven't gotten anything useful in my log file yet and today, for some reason, the problem is less bad right now (distnoted uses only like 25% CPU). If I get anything interesting from the logs, I'll post it.
