    Vectors in FW

I have a file (png) that has a vector logo against a transparent background. How do I save this so I can send to a vendor so he can expand for a car graphic. It was designed in FW CS3 and I originally saved it as PNG and sent to the vendor but he can not edit the file.

As far as I know, you can't. You can import Adobe Illustrator vectors into Fireworks, but you can't export them out in a vector. I'd love to be corrected though.

You can export out as Illustrator 8 format, but you will lose a lot of
the effects that were created in FW.

I had to do this recently for some posters and flyers for a party. I
saved as a photoshop file, then in photoshop opened it and set the
colour system to CMYK, and then saved as a PDF. The PDF has vectors and
is in the correct format for printing.

For my first attempt at professional printing I was very very happy with
the results. The artwork had loads of vectors, and a gradient, but
nothing that was specific to Fireworks.

You can see a jpg of the flyer here:

Please note that the really nice swirly bits came from this web site,
www.vecteezy.com where I got the original designers permission.
