Sound stopping when window not active

    Opera Rat Level 1
I have a Voice Over (VO) that reads the text on a screen. As the VO gets to certain points (cuepoints) more text appears. I have a popup glossary (dialogMIAW) that appears when the user clicks on a word in the text. So far so good. If the user clicks on a word and the glossary opens the text continues and as cuepoints are points are reached more text appears. In other words the program continues - which is what I want. BUT when you click on a button within the glossary to close it, the sound and text stop - this is not what I want. I'm not sure why this is happening because within that glossary MIAW are hypertext word that the user may also click on that open up more glossary windows - just like I want. It is the close button that seems to stop the sound and inturn the text (as a cuepoint can no longer be reached). What could be causing this and how can I make the sound from the stage continue even if the close button is clicked?
