me too. it say unable validate the serial number and i already contact the Chat Agent but still no progress from them.
yeah i told them i had searched the forums for help and tried every suggestion.... and after talking to me for like 5 min. they said it was a technical issue ( and im talking to tech support) referred me to the forums -_-

Try contacting activation support instead of regular tech support:
Scroll down to "Still need help?" and there's a place to start a chat session with them.
Tech support walked me through altering the "hosts" file. Just a few corrections and it works perfectly.
Windows 7 Home Premium - service pack 1
On a clean windows machine, the hosts file should contain only this:
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
# For example:
# 126.96.36.199 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 188.8.131.52 x.acme.com # x client host
If you have anything else, then you know that your machine is compromised by a hacker, or malware or a virus.
Of course, people who are developing websites (me included) then it might contain other things to make sure php, apache and mysql works correctly but for the majority of people it should be exactly like what I have posted above.
In this file, everything is commented out so it affects absolutely nothing on the system and connections to the outside world is an absolute certainty. All links should work in this scenario.

Thanks after many hours reading "help screen" and Adobe Chat. Your fix to edit the host file resolved the problem. Funny that Adobe Chat could not give this info.
