    Blu-Ray Export Settings

    jackdelamare Community Member

I am in the process of finishing a Blu-Ray project and I want to export it for Blu-Ray discs. Usually I would 'build' an ISO and burn that to a disc, so my first question is, is that the best way to do it? Export an ISO of the project and then burn that onto discs, or should I burn to discs straight from Encore?

Secondly, should I build a BD-R or a BD-ROM (and would I need different discs?) I want these Blu-Rays to play in most Blu-Ray players if not all. And also, what is BD-ROM content that I can add?

My last question is how do I name the Blu-Ray disc so for example, when someone puts it in their PS3, it says the title of my film instead of "untitled"? Is this something in Encore or in my ISO burning program (providing I burn ISOs)?

      Thanks!

Partly because Encore burning effectiveness was poor in the past, many of us have never tested it in CS6. So I much prefer build to image (or folder) and burn with something else (I use ImgBurn).

The selection of disk type when building to an image is regarding the type of disk you will use. Re the compatibilitgy issue, see this thread, starting with Neil's post at 16:

Not where I can check it, but I believe you just have to  name the disk in disk properties. (Select the "disk" in the flowchart, or click in an open area of the project panel.)
