It works fine for me.
Can you echo $PATH and see what it contains?
if you are able to launch via terminal ($>flashplayer) after setting the
path, then it should work all fine from flex builder too..
Is any one else encountering it?
Can you try this?
$>export LD_LIBRARY_PATH =
and launch FB and see if it works?

I assume the library path isn't correctly exported on the install though does get correctly configured upon a reboot as it works perfectly after I restarted my machine.

I dont think that should be an issue... But not sure though !
should do.. This is how i do it everytime..
And if you are using an inbuilt script to launch Flex builder, it
actually sets this path variable...
Finally, good to hear that your problem is solved...
