ECBowen Dec 5, 2013 2:44 PM (in response to Richard M Knight)Yes have to love Sony's proprietary card readers. I leave such things off because they are camera specific and often have USB options if required.

Indio22 Dec 6, 2013 7:09 AM (in response to Indio22)Thanks for the suggestions. Also, I wonder how often Firewire is used these days? I have some older family videos on tapes, recorded digitially and accessible via Firewire, from a port on the camcorder. So if I get a board without Firewire, looks like I would need to install a Firewire card into a PCIe slot, if I wanted to edit those tapes. Otherwise, I don't see as many products today using Firewire.
