1. Re: "file video dimensions (width/height) too large" is the exact message, what is the solution please?
Ann Bens Dec 7, 2013 10:58 AM (in response to picman)If you do not use pan and scan in your slideshow its best to downsize the jpegs to sequence dimension before importing.
CS4 will choke on a bunch of stills at 7000x5000.

2. Re: "file video dimensions (width/height) too large" is the exact message, what is the solution please?
picman Dec 7, 2013 11:00 AM (in response to Ann Bens)I do want to zoom and pan on virtually all of them, hence the res, either way, 7000x5000 is massively smaller than the quoted 25,000x 25,000 ie 36mp vs 625mp

3. Re: "file video dimensions (width/height) too large" is the exact message, what is the solution please?
Ann Bens Dec 7, 2013 11:04 AM (in response to picman)I not sure but I think CS4 is far lesser then 25.000.
Make the stills twice the size of the sequence that will give you enough room to pan and zoom.

4. Re: "file video dimensions (width/height) too large" is the exact message, what is the solution please?
picman Dec 7, 2013 11:06 AM (in response to Ann Bens)Can anyone give me a definitive answer to the res or advise differently?

5. Re: "file video dimensions (width/height) too large" is the exact message, what is the solution please?
picman Dec 7, 2013 11:07 AM (in response to Ann Bens)But if I want to zoom right in or right out 2x isn't enough

9. Re: "file video dimensions (width/height) too large" is the exact message, what is the solution please?
Stan Jones Dec 7, 2013 12:13 PM (in response to picman)Yes, the earlier help documents can appear hidden at times. But just search for Premiere Help, and look for the "Previous Versions (pdf)" link. That gets you back to CS3.

11. Re: "file video dimensions (width/height) too large" is the exact message, what is the solution please?
Stan Jones Dec 7, 2013 12:44 PM (in response to Ann Bens)It illustrates how big some feature enhancements can be. 10X the megapixels from CS4 to CS5. In today's world, hard to imagine a limit as small as that!

12. Re: "file video dimensions (width/height) too large" is the exact message, what is the solution please?
JSS1138 Dec 7, 2013 1:43 PM (in response to Stan Jones)I think it also illustrates the need to have accurate, version specific PDF files.

13. Re: "file video dimensions (width/height) too large" is the exact message, what is the solution please?
picman Dec 7, 2013 1:53 PM (in response to JSS1138)Agreed, a filter through from Prem, then version, then search the problem. My response from Adobe was "just look in the faq"

15. Re: "file video dimensions (width/height) too large" is the exact message, what is the solution please?
sb14blue Nov 23, 2014 10:34 PM (in response to picman)You will get this error message with any image file larger than 4096 x 4096. In order to fix this, you must resize your image in Photoshop CS4.
- Open the file in Photoshop
- Under the "Image" tab, click "Image Size"
- The "Image Size" window will appear. Click "Auto" and then "Best"
- Click OK. Your image will be resized to 4096 x ???? or less.
- Click OK and Save or Save As your image.
Reopen the newly saved file in Premiere Pro CS4. Done.
