Indesign loads all my install files

When I start my indesign, it loads every start installation for every program on it and then displays a javascript error  2 and 24. Those will not go away and the program is unworkable.

I am working on a windows 8 system. How do I fix this?

I'm way out of my depth.

I did recently load some javascript files suggested at Lynda.com. Could that be part of this?

@Ellen – you did not say what version of InDesign you are using on what OS platform. That might be of help.
Also screenshots  of the error messages would help:

You mentioned installed scripts. As long as they are not recide in a "startup scripts" folder, they should not affect launching InDesign. So look it up, if  you installed those scripts in a "startup scripts" folder and simply put them out.

Leave all other scripts in place!

Then launch InDesign again. A system restart before could help …

Another useful test would be to create a new user on the computer, log in with that user, and try starting ID. Do the problems persist?
