And it is not a matter of enabling them?
Hi, The fonts are enabled.
Here are some of my thoughts about AI CS6: It is best to use Open Type fonts, *.otf. If you use True Type Fonts, be sure to back save into an older version, say, CS4 format. When I did this, the "fonts disappearing" problem (an asterisk next to the font's name) went away. Windows 7 does not seem to recognize "Type 1" fonts at all.
That is all I can think. Otherwise, upgrading to an Open Type font seems to have solved the problem.
clear your font cache.
with no apps open
delete windows/systems 32/Fntcache.dat
Defintely go with the newer font technology whenever possible. Truetype is usually not as much problem as the type 1 fonts (.pfb. .pfm)
